About our School
Christchurch Junior School is a large, popular community school, which caters for almost 500 children aged between 7 and 11 years. The children spend four years here. The classes are organised in year groups hosting four classes each. We are an inclusive school and welcome children from all walks of life and all faiths. The children enjoy excellent facilities in purpose-built premises, which were constructed in 2001. Our facilities include a well-stocked Library and specialist teaching areas for Music and Computing. In 2011 we opened Old Building, purpose-built accommodation for serving hot meals which also provides additional teaching and learning space with a suite of Music rooms. We take pride in our school’s support for music and sport, and our playing field has recently been enhanced by a non-turf cricket pitch.
