About the Post

Are you passionate about guiding young minds towards their future careers? Can you inspire students and help them navigate their educational and vocational pathways?

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Careers Leader to lead our careers team across our two federated secondary schools in Christchurch. This is an exciting role where you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of students by providing comprehensive careers guidance and support.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, flexible, and committed Careers Lead, responsible for overseeing our careers education, information, advice, and guidance services. You will also be instrumental in developing and leading the Twynham TGS Careers Strategy, directly influencing the lives and futures of our students. A QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development is desirable, but we are committed to supporting the right candidate to gain this qualification.

Twynham School is a special place with an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. In December 2021, Ofsted recognised the power and impact of our federated approach, judging The Grange School (TGS) to be “good” in all areas. You will be joining an organisation that is rapidly progressing and deeply committed to providing exceptional opportunities for the young people of Christchurch.

This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a talented colleague.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Lead CEIAG across our two secondary schools
  • Further improve the already excellent careers provision
  • Work with like-minded colleagues who believe in the power of education to transform lives
  • Contribute to the further development of a high-performing careers team, the school, and Twynham Learning

Twynham Learning can offer you:

  • The chance to be a part of an exciting educational journey alongside highly regarded professionals
  • The opportunity to work with exceptional colleagues and wonderful young people and their families
  • An exceptional CPD offer from middle leadership through to preparation for senior and system leadership
  • Strong and supportive leadership who place value on learning beyond the classroom
  • The opportunity to work within Twynham Learning, a progressive multi-academy trust
  • Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Free on-site parking
  • The opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful areas of the South Coast

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • are passionate about the power of high-quality careers advice and guidance
  • have a good knowledge of university, training, and apprenticeship pathways
  • understand the nature of CEIAG and the Gatsby benchmarks
  • enjoy working with a range of stakeholders, from students to employers
  • will embrace our highly supportive and professional culture
